Use your models with Cinchapi¶
Pair your computer with your Cinchapi account, and the Cinchapi apps, such as Relay, can use the models on it, from any device. In Cinchapi they are your private models. The chats run on your computer instead of a cloud model, and they cost no credits.
Pair your computer¶
pasture pair
pasture prints a code, such as WDJB-MJHT, and opens the cinchapi.com
pairing page in your browser with the code filled in. Sign in, check that the
page shows the same code, and approve. The code works for 10 minutes. pasture
then says:
Paired. Your Cinchapi account lists this machine as "Studio MacBook Pro".
Cinchapi can now use the models on this machine.
On a computer with no browser, such as a server you reach over SSH, open cinchapi.com/pair on any other device and type the code.
To give the computer another name in your account, pair with a name:
pasture pair --name "Office server".
Use the models¶
In a Cinchapi app, choose a model. Your computer's models are listed as Private models, including the ones pasture moved away. When you choose one that moved away, the app says it is loading while pasture brings it back, so the first answer can take a while.
Your computer must be on, awake, and online for Cinchapi to reach it. It connects out to your account, so it works from home Wi-Fi with no router settings to change.
pasture status says how the connection stands:
Linked to your Cinchapi account as node 9f1c2b. Cinchapi can use these models.
See or remove the computer in your account¶
In cinchapi.com, open your workspace's settings and choose Private models. The page lists each computer you paired and whether it is online. To stop using a computer, remove it there.
To remove the pairing from the computer itself, run pasture unpair. The
computer stays in your account, shown as offline, until you remove it there.
Share the models with your team¶
Share a computer's models with your team shows how to let others in your workspace use them.
