Get ready to work offline

A model that pasture moved away comes back by download, unless its copy is in an archive folder on a drive you have with you. So before a flight, or anywhere without internet, bring back the models you will need, and keep them on the disk.

Before you go

1. See where your models are:

pasture status

1. Bring back each model you will need that shows away, or shows archive when the archive drive stays home:

pasture restore gpt-oss:20b

1. Pin them, so pasture keeps them on the disk while you are away:

pasture pin gpt-oss:20b

Pinned models still count toward your budget. When they do not fit, raise the budget for the trip, as Choose how much space models use shows.

When you are back

Unpin the models you pinned for the trip, so pasture can move them again:

pasture unpin gpt-oss:20b
